About the Company
Lift Ventures, a remote-first startup studio whose portfolio of businesses has reached over 250 million consumers to date, is looking for a seasoned Head of Growth to join our team and lead growth initiatives for our fast-growing site SuperSummary (supersummary.com). SuperSummary is a subscription-based website offering a library of professionally-written study guides and other educational resources on thousands of books for students, teachers, and readers of all types.
Over the last few years, we’ve proven out and scaled a strong customer acquisition funnel and experimentation process for SuperSummary that has led to rapid growth. In this next phase, we are looking for an experienced, product-driven marketer to build a larger growth team and lead our efforts to continue to optimize the customer conversion and retention funnels, including ideating, designing, prioritizing, and executing experiments end to end.
As Head of Growth, you’ll manage the growth team and report directly to the CEO, while working cross-functionally with engineering, design, analytics, and product management team members to design and execute growth initiatives. For this role, we’re looking for an experienced marketer fluent in funnel optimization, A/B testing, product-led growth, user research, and paid marketing, with a balance of analytical skills and creativity.
About the Job
Define the company’s growth experimentation strategy and plan: develop an experimentation framework to prioritize and structure growth tests that maximize learnings across segments, campaigns, channels and strategies to ultimately increase ROI. The plan should span the full growth funnel from acquisition through retention
Work with our data team to ensure the right tooling and data infrastructure is in place to support the plan
Lead a high-performing team by coordinating and executing our growth program, personally designing and implementing certain priority projects while delegating and advising on others. This includes our A/B testing process using Google Optimize
Collaborate with our product team on user research, market research, and new feature development with an eye towards adding more value to our subscription offering to increase conversion rate and LTV
Evaluate content-driven SEO strategies to drive new top of funnel SEO traffic
Configure, maintain, and optimize ad campaigns across all channels, focusing on experimentation and iteration
Build and scale sophisticated email marketing funnels
Quantify and understand progress against goals, including overseeing data analysis and working with our data team to create reporting dashboards
Identify new monetization strategies & channels
Work with a distributed team that has been remote-first since 2018 (preferred time zones: Pacific/Mountain time)

Minimum 8 years of experience working in growth and performance marketing at a fast-paced, high-growth start-up
3+ years experience leading a growth team and managing others
Highly analytical with an understanding of statistics and data/web analytics
SEO/SEM expertise, including knowledge of keyword research
Deep understanding of how to design effective experiments and develop a quantitative intuition for interpreting user experience data, including setting up and managing A/B testing using Google Optimize
Experience working directly with PMs, designers, and developers to implement experiments
Demonstrated ability to deliver results across all parts of the user journey and at all levels of the funnel
Expert knowledge of acquisition channels (owned, paid, earned) and tooling (campaign management, web analytics, data analysis). Our stack includes Google Ads, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Google Optimize, and Tableau, among others.
Experience acquiring and engaging a Gen Z user base (among other segments) with deep insights about a younger demographic
Content marketing/content strategy experience is a nice-to-have
