About the Company

Lift Ventures, a remote-first startup studio whose portfolio of businesses has reached over 250 million consumers to date, is seeking a seasoned Content Manager & AI Strategist to support new projects at SuperSummary, our fast-growing EdTech business. SuperSummary is a subscription-based website and mobile app that offers a library of professionally written Study Guides and other educational tools and resources on thousands of books for students, teachers, book club members, and readers of all types.

In addition to continuing to expand our expert-written Study Guide library, which has grown substantially in recent years, we’re exploring new and innovative ways to bring high-quality literature content and tools to our users, including AI. By combining our literary expertise with new technologies, we aim to ideate and implement highly scalable content innovations that will make SuperSummary a household name in literature. We are seeking a driven, dynamic, and analytical content strategist and manager to play a pivotal role in helping us achieve these goals.


About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Content and supporting our Content team, the Content Manager & AI Strategist will combine creativity with a strategic mindset to ensure we consistently and methodically innovate our content products and tools. The ideal candidate will have a passion for literature, extensive experience in content management and strategy, and a strong understanding of and enthusiasm for artificial intelligence and its responsible use.

With a team of Content Strategists, you will be responsible for managing the development and optimization of new content types, ensuring they align with our brand voice and high content standards. You’ll serve as the company-wide expert on AI content generation to guarantee we remain ahead of industry trends and remain a leader in these arenas.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a content strategy for creating new literary products, content, and features to meet the needs of our users, including students, teachers, book club members, and readers

  • Manage a team of Content Strategists and a rolling project pipeline to ensure a seamless workflow and consistent output quality

  • Oversee and refine our new content creation processes, including writing, editing, and quality assurance

  • Manage AI content generation projects and processes, overseeing prompt engineering and evaluating the accuracy, semantics, and syntactics of outputs

  • Collaborate with our team of literature experts to ensure content aligns with the company’s content standards, values, and goals

  • Monitor and analyze content performance, leveraging data to refine and improve our processes and products

  • Manage our content tool library and resources to ensure we’re correctly allocating efforts and expenses while staying ahead of technological evolutions

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, natural language processing, and educational technology to continuously enhance our strategies

  • Identify and implement opportunities for automating repetitive tasks to improve efficiency in the content creation pipeline

  • Work closely with product and design teams to ensure all teams and strategies are aligned with broader business goals and promotional strategies

Job requirements

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience in content management and strategy, ideally in an educational or publishing environment

  • Bachelor’s degree in Literature, English, Education, or a related field

  • Strong understanding of AI technologies, particularly in natural language processing and machine learning

  • Experience working with AI content generation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude) and familiarity with prompt engineering and fine-tuning

  • Strong analytical skills and experience using data to drive content decisions

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong eye for detail

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and remote team environment

  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
